So I RMA'ed the card back for a refund and I am waiting for a 9600Pro 128.
Well, thinking their may be some weird driver glitch with the NForce2 chipset and an ATI card, I got rid of my AMD set up and went to a genuine Intel board and CPU(D865GBF with Lan and a 2.4C 800 FSB/HT), but I had the same problem. So I RMA'ed the card back for another one and got the same results. I have a Lian Li case with a window sitting next to me on the desk.
This proved to be a very fast set up, but as soon as I loaded the drivers for it (and I tried multiple drivers) the card made a very high frequency pitch that would actually leave a ringing in my ear. I installed it on a Asus A7NX-Deluxe with a Barton XP2500. My Geforce FX 5200 3Dmark03 score: 1037 (running at 1024x768, same system specs as above)Ĭomments: I bought this card from Newegg, fast free shipping gotta love Newegg.
This Radeon 9500 Pro 128mb video card is 3-4 times faster!! I used to be a Nvidia Geforce guy and i had a Geforce FX 5200 128mb video card. (9800 pro would be better for intense graphical animation proccessing for a movie). it's hard to see a difference.) If your worried that the 9800 pro is waay faster (yes it does get higher benchmark rateings), dont worry because actually use in games is pretty much the same. The 9800 Pro is faster, but this card is very close and basicly will runs games pretty much just like it. Optimized for Pentium 4 SSE2 and AMD Athlon& 3Dnow!Īdditional Information Date First AvailableĬomments: With this graphics card, i can play any new 3D game at Max Graphics settings with an FPS (frames per second) of atleast 40+! My friend has a Nvidia Geforce 5600 and my ATI Radeon 9500 Pro actually gets higher benchmark rateing in 3Dmark03.
